A good garden designer has to play many roles - architect, landscaper, farmer, but also psychologist, and even to a small extent, a spiritual advisor and life coach. Nicole wears all those hats with grace and skill. When my wife and I knew we wanted a garden but weren't shure how to start or what to do, she talked to us at length (consulting with both of us, and with each individually) to figure out what we wanted (and what we didn't even suspect we wanted deeply!) - what kinds of plants, the layout, and in general what role the garden would play in our life. She then created a detailed design, including diagrams and layouts, shopping lists of seeds and tools, and even a multi-year step by step growing plan! We planted that garden last summer, and aso far it has been a delight. We're very much looking forward to the next growing season. She has way exceeded our hopes and expectations for the garden.
